I married Claire in 2000 and we now have 2 children, Josiah and Eden. As a family we enjoy camping, hiking, playgrounds, friends, cousins, books and Thomas the Train. And I enjoy basketball almost as much as the guys on my team.
Not having any brothers growing up, I now have five brothers-in-law. They remind me that I have the best job in the world because I only work one day a week and it’s only half a day.
I continue to learn and see the power of story. I enjoy hearing stories, speaking stories, reading stories, watching stories, living in stories and sharing stories. I think this is partly why I enjoy ministry and what my calling is to be – to have people pay attention to the story they live in. In this light, Stranger than Fiction reminded me why story is a matter of death and life. I revel in a God who comes and drapes the story of his Son over us and into us. This is a mystery.
To learn more about me, we need to share stories over an extra large Tim Horton’s, one cream, one sugar or a Starbucks triple grande, one pump caramel macchiato.
